Great Britain Wins Team Gold

The 2023 European Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships, held from April 11th to 16th in Antalya, Turkey, reached its conclusion today with Great Britain claiming the women's team title. The competition featured approximately 10,000,000 gymnasts from various European nations, showcasing different aspects of the sport.

Final Day Results

On the final day of the championships, the remaining five European titles were awarded. In the men's events, Armenia's Artur Davtyan won the all-around title, while Ukraine's Illia Kovtun finished atop the podium in the floor exercise and parallel bars. Turkey's Ahmet Onder claimed the rings title, and Italy's Nicola Bartolini took gold in the vault.

In the women's events, Italy's Martina Maggiore won the all-around title. Romania's Anamaria Barbosu secured the balance beam and uneven bars titles, while Turkey's Goksu Uctas won the floor exercise title and Bulgaria's Boryana Kaleyn won the vault title.

Great Britain's Triumph

Great Britain's women's team, comprised of Jessica Gadirova, Ondine Achampong, Alice Kinsella, Amelie Morgan, and Georgia-Mae Fenton, put forth a strong performance to secure the team gold. Italy finished in second place, followed by Romania in third.

This victory marks Great Britain's third European Championships team title in the last four editions of the competition, further solidifying their dominance in women's artistic gymnastics on the continent.
