Shelley Duvall, the actress best known for her roles in 'The Shining' and 'Nashville', has died at the age of 75, her ex-husband has confirmed.

Duvall's ex-husband, Dan Gilroy, told TMZ that the actress died of natural causes at her home in Texas on Thursday.

Duvall's career spanned more than four decades, but she is best known for her roles in 'The Shining' (1980) and 'Nashville' (1975). In 'The Shining', she played Wendy Torrance, the wife of Jack Nicholson's character, who goes insane and tries to kill his family.
