Brandon McMillan: Vancouver Canucks Center

Early Life and Career

Brandon McMillan was born on March 22, 1990, in Richmond, British Columbia. He began his hockey career playing for the Richmond Steelers in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). In the 2009-10 season, he was named the BCHL Rookie of the Year after scoring 27 goals and 59 points in 60 games.

NHL Career

McMillan was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the second round (45th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2013-14 season and has played in 96 games for the Canucks, scoring 10 goals and 15 assists.

During the 2014-15 season, McMillan was assigned to the Canucks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Utica Comets. He played in 60 games for the Comets, scoring 13 goals and 26 assists. In the 2015-16 season, McMillan split time between the Canucks and the Comets, playing in 19 games for the Canucks and 36 games for the Comets.

In the 2016-17 season, McMillan played in 17 games for the Canucks before being traded to the Arizona Coyotes. He played in 21 games for the Coyotes and scored two goals and two assists. In the 2017-18 season, McMillan played in 13 games for the Coyotes before being claimed on waivers by the Carolina Hurricanes. He played in 25 games for the Hurricanes and scored three goals and four assists.

In the 2018-19 season, McMillan signed a one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played in 11 games for the Maple Leafs before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens. He played in 10 games for the Canadiens and scored one goal and one assist. In the 2019-20 season, McMillan signed a one-year contract with the Canucks. He has played in 12 games for the Canucks and has scored one goal and one assist.
