Jacksonville Jaguars Kicker Brandon McManus Misses Field Goal in Windy Conditions
In a Week 16 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, McManus' 52-yard attempt fell short
Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus missed a 52-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter of the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The kick was wide right, hitting the upright and bouncing off. The miss kept the Jaguars off the scoreboard and gave the Buccaneers the ball back with good field position.
McManus has been a reliable kicker for the Jaguars, but the windy conditions proved to be too much for him on this attempt. The Jaguars went on to lose the game 24-17.
McManus has played 10 seasons in the NFL, all with the Broncos and Jaguars. He has made 84.4% of his field goal attempts and 94.4% of his extra point attempts. He was a Pro Bowl selection in 2017.
The Jaguars are now 4-12 on the season and will face the Tennessee Titans in Week 17.
