Bridgerton universe expands with Queen Charlotte spin-off and more

Prepare for more Bridgerton romance and scandals in the upcoming prequel, spin-offs, and Season 3!

The Bridgerton universe is set to expand in 2023 with a prequel series focused on Queen Charlotte, as well as two spin-offs and a highly-anticipated third season of the main show.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

The prequel series, titled "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story," will tell the story of Queen Charlotte's rise to power and her romance with King George III. India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest will reprise their roles as the young Queen Charlotte and King George, respectively.

Bridgerton Season 3

Season 3 of "Bridgerton" will focus on the romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). The season will also introduce several new characters, including Penelope's cousin, Marina Thompson (Ruzy Mena), and Colin's friend, Harry Dankworth (James Phoon).

The first part of Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 16, 2023, while the second part will premiere on June 23, 2023.

Bridgerton spin-offs

In addition to the prequel series and Season 3, two spin-offs are also in development. One spin-off will focus on the early life of Lady Violet Bridgerton (Ruth Gemmell), while the other will follow the adventures of a young Queen Charlotte.
